Cablu serial DeLOCK 87784 negru 5m DB-9

The DeLOCK 87784 is a 5 meter black serial cable with DB-9 (mini D-Sub 9) connectors designed for direct RS-232 device-to-device connections. The cable supports null modem wiring with automatic CTS/RTS control, enabling data exchange between printers, measuring instruments, converters, RS-232 hubs and patch panels. The compact mini D-Sub 9 connector (44 x 33.3 x 15 mm) allows adjacent port placement without blocking neighbouring interfaces.

Advantages

The fully wired null modem configuration eliminates the need for external adapters when connecting two RS-232 devices. CTS/RTS auto control manages hardware flow control automatically, improving compatibility with a range of serial equipment. A 5 mm diameter jacket and 5 m length balance flexibility and reach for typical workstation and instrumentation setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting printers and labelers with RS-232 ports
• Linking measuring instruments and data loggers
• Interfacing converters, RS-232 hubs and patch panels
• Direct device-to-device serial communication for legacy equipment

How to use

Connect each DB-9 connector to the RS-232 port of the respective devices. The null modem wiring internally crosses transmit and receive lines so no external crossover is required. If devices support hardware flow control, CTS/RTS will be handled automatically by the cable. Verify COM port settings (baud rate, parity, stop bits) in device or host software to match between both ends before starting communication.

Recommendations

Use the cable indoors and avoid sharp bends or heavy mechanical stress. For reliable serial communication, keep cable length and environmental interference in mind—use shielded routing where possible and ensure connectors are seated firmly. For very long runs or electrically noisy environments, consider adding line protection or alternative communication interfaces suited to the installation.
