Adaptor de gen cablu DeLOCK 66165

The DeLOCK 66165 Cable Gender Changer adapts a Sub-D 9 pin (DB9) serial connector to an RJ-45 port, enabling expansion of a serial interface using an optional Cat.5/5e/6 cable. The adapter is finished in black stainless steel for durability and provides a compact, lightweight solution to connect devices with different connector types while allowing individual pin assignment via the RJ-45 cable wiring.

Advantages

The adapter permits flexible pin assignment by using the RJ-45 cable wiring, supports standard Cat.5/5e/6 cables, and combines a DB9 connector with an RJ-45 interface in a small, robust housing. Its stainless steel finish increases mechanical durability and the compact form factor simplifies installation in confined spaces.

Suitable for

• Extending or converting RS-232/serial connections over Cat.5/5e/6 cable
• Interconnecting devices with a Sub-D 9 pin port and an RJ-45-based serial adapter or console
• Custom wiring arrangements where individual pin assignment is required

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the Sub-D 9 pin connector into the device’s serial port and route an RJ-45 Cat.5/5e/6 cable into the adapter. Arrange the RJ-45 cable pairs according to the required pinout for your application, then push the cable end into the chosen slot of the RJ-45 connector until it locks in the housing. Verify continuity and correct pin assignment before powering connected equipment.

Recommendations

Use shielded or properly twisted Cat.5e/6 cables for better signal integrity on longer runs, and consult device pinout diagrams to ensure correct wiring. Avoid exposing the adapter to excessive moisture or mechanical stress.
