Conector coaxial IEC ShiverPeaks BS85321-G

The ShiverPeaks BS85321-G is a coaxial adapter that converts between an IEC male/female coaxial connection and an F-type connection. Designed for stable audio and video signal transmission, this single-piece adapter enables compatibility between equipment using IEC coax connectors (common on televisions and tuners) and devices or cables that use F-type fittings. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for tight installation spaces and for connecting existing cabling infrastructures without replacing cables.

Advantages

This adapter provides a straightforward mechanical and electrical transition between IEC and F-type coaxial interfaces, maintaining consistent signal continuity for RF and broadcast signals. Manufactured with attention to contact alignment and shielding, it reduces the need for additional converters and simplifies installation. The single-piece design minimizes potential points of failure and supports repeated connection cycles while preserving contact integrity.

Suitable for

• Connecting a television or set-top box with an IEC coax socket to a cable or antenna feed with an F-type connector
• Adapting existing coax installations during equipment upgrades or replacements
• Temporary or permanent cable joins where space is limited

Key specifications

• Connector types: IEC coaxial to F-type
• Pack quantity: 1 piece
• Application: RF, terrestrial TV, and basic audio/video distribution
• Form factor: compact inline adapter suitable for tight spaces

How to use

Align the IEC side of the adapter with the IEC socket on the device and insert until it seats securely; then attach the F-type connector by threading or pushing the corresponding cable end onto the F-type side as required by the cable design. Ensure connectors are clean and free of debris before mating to preserve signal quality. When disconnecting, grip the connector bodies rather than pulling on the cable to avoid strain on the cable terminations.

Recommendations

For optimum performance, use the adapter in indoor, dry environments and avoid excessive bending or torque on the connection points. If used in longer-term or critical installations, verify signal levels after installation and consider using professionally terminated cables and connectors to minimize signal loss.
