Card PCI Express x8 DeLOCK 89009

The DeLOCK PCI Express x8 Card (model 89009) provides two external USB Type-C ports for expanding a PC's USB connectivity. It connects to a PCIe slot and supports SuperSpeed USB at up to 20 Gbps on the USB-C port, making it suitable for high-speed data transfer with docking stations, external enclosures, card readers and other USB devices. The card is suitable for systems that accept a PCI Express x8 interface and is designed with low-profile compatibility in mind.

Advantages

The card adds two external USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps) Type-C ports via a PCIe host interface, enabling fast data transfer and connection of multiple modern USB-C devices. Its low-profile design allows installation in compact systems, and compatibility with common USB peripherals such as docking stations, card readers and external drives provides flexible expansion of system I/O.

How to use

Install the card into an available PCI Express x8 (or compatible) slot on the motherboard following standard anti-static precautions. Secure the card to the chassis, connect any necessary internal power if required by your system (check system requirements), and install drivers if the operating system does not automatically recognise the device. After installation, connect USB-C peripherals to the external ports and verify the connection and transfer speeds through your operating system.

Recommendations

For maximum transfer speeds, use USB-C cables and peripherals that support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. Ensure the host slot provides sufficient bandwidth (PCIe x8 or higher) and verify driver availability for your operating system to guarantee full functionality.
