Cablu serial DeLOCK 86822 negru 0,5 m DB-9

The DeLOCK 86822 is a 0.5 m serial cable with a DB-9 (mini D-Sub9) connector, designed for reliable RS-232 data transmission between devices. Offered in black, it serves as an extension or connection cable for modems, printers, measuring instruments, converters, RS-232 hubs and patch panels, enabling adjacent systems and devices to be linked directly.

Advantages

The compact mini D-Sub9 connector (approx. 44 x 33.3 x 15 mm) allows ports to be placed close together while maintaining standard RS-232 compatibility. At 0.5 m length the cable provides a short, tidy connection that reduces cable clutter and is suitable for tight installations. The DB-9 interface ensures wide device compatibility with legacy and industrial equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting modems to host devices
• Linking printers and measuring instruments
• Interfacing converters and RS-232 hubs
• Patch panels and short serial extensions

How to use

Connect one DB-9 connector to the RS-232 port of the source device and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are aligned and seated fully; if screws are provided, fasten them to secure the connection. Use the cable for short-distance serial data transfer and to extend or bridge adjacent ports in racks or equipment panels.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable. Use the 0.5 m length where short, tidy connections are needed; for longer distances select a suitably longer RS-232 cable. Keep connectors free of dust and secure screw collars if present to prevent accidental disconnection.
