Cablu SAS DeLOCK 83390 0,5 m multicolor

This SAS cable from DeLOCK (model 83390) is a 0.5 m internal cable with a Mini SAS HD x4 SFF-8643 connector on one end and four SAS 29p SFF-8482 connectors on the other. It is designed for reliable high-speed data connections between a Mini SAS HD x4 controller and up to four SAS drives, and its short length and multicolour design suit installations in compact server and storage environments.

Advantages

The cable supports direct connection of multiple SAS drives to a single Mini SAS HD x4 controller, offers a compact 0.5 m length for use in confined spaces, and uses standard SFF-8643 and SFF-8482 connectors for compatibility with common server and storage hardware. The multicolour design helps with cable identification during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting a Mini SAS HD x4 (SFF-8643) controller to up to four SAS 29p (SFF-8482) drives
• Internal server and storage chassis cabling where short runs are required
• Systems requiring standard SAS connectors for hot-swap drive bays

How to use

Power down the system before installing internal cabling. Insert the Mini SAS HD x4 (SFF-8643) connector into the corresponding controller port and route the cable to the drive bay area. Connect each SFF-8482 plug to an individual SAS drive. Ensure connectors are fully seated and secure any cable routing to prevent strain. After connections are made, power on the system and verify that the controller recognises all connected drives.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m DeLOCK SAS cable for short internal runs inside servers or storage enclosures. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and keep the cable away from sources of electromagnetic interference. Match connector types (SFF-8643 to controller, SFF-8482 to drives) to ensure proper operation.
