Cablu optic activ SFP+ DeLOCK 86640 3 m

The DeLOCK Active Optical Cable SFP+ 86640 (3 m) is an optical direct-attach cable with SFP+ connectors on both ends for high-speed 10 Gbps links. It is intended to connect devices to a switch with an SFP+ port or to interconnect two Ethernet switches, offering a lightweight and flexible 3 m link suitable for data centers and high-performance environments.

Advantages

The cable supports data rates up to 10 Gbps over an optical link, reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, and offers lower weight and improved bend performance for easier cable management. SFP+ terminations provide hot-pluggable compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP+ modules.

Suitable for

• Connecting servers or storage to an SFP+ port on a switch
• Interconnecting two Ethernet switches over a short distance
• High-density rack environments and data center top-of-rack connections

Key specifications

• Manufacturer: DELOCK
• Model / MPN: 86640
• EAN: 4043619866403
• Type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors
• Length: 3 m

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the SFP+ port of the two devices to be connected until the connector latches. Verify link lights on the devices and configure network settings as required by your equipment. No external power or drivers are needed; treat the cable like a hot-pluggable SFP+ module when connecting or disconnecting.

Recommendations

Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling; follow the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Verify compatibility with your switch or network interface SFP+ ports before deployment and ensure firmware or compatibility notes from the vendor if required.
