Cablu audio Microconnect AUDSPEAKER2-100C 100 m alb

The Microconnect AUDSPEAKER2-100C is a 100 m speaker cable manufactured with Copper-Clad Aluminium (CCA) conductors. The cable has two conductors of 2.5 mm² each (2 x 2.5 mm²) composed of 2x50 strands of 0.25 mm diameter, and an overall outer dimension of approximately 3.8 x 8.0 mm. Supplied in white, this cable is intended for fixed speaker wiring and audio installations where a cost-effective, flexible conductor is required.

Advantages

CCA construction provides a balance between electrical conductivity and lower material cost compared with pure copper; the 2 x 2.5 mm² cross-section supports typical low-voltage audio speaker connections. The cable’s stranded conductor design improves flexibility for routing and installation, and the white outer jacket offers a discreet appearance in many indoor installations. A 100 m reel reduces the need for joins in longer runs.

Suitable for

• Fixed in-room speaker wiring
• Home audio and multi-room sound distribution
• Commercial audio installations with moderate power requirements

Key specifications

• Cable length: 100 m
• Conductor type: Copper-Clad Aluminium (CCA)
• Conductor configuration: 2 x 2.5 mm² (2x50/0.25 mm strands)
• Outer dimensions: approx. 3.8 x 8.0 mm
• Colour: White
• Weight: 3 kg
• Connectors: None (bare speaker cable)

How to use

Measure the run length and cut the required length from the 100 m reel. Strip the outer jacket and separate the two conductors, taking care to maintain polarity markings. Terminate the conductors with appropriate connectors (banana plugs, spade lugs) or secure directly to speaker and amplifier terminals according to manufacturer instructions. Avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from sources of electrical interference where possible.

Recommendations

For best results, use this CCA speaker cable for runs where moderate power is sufficient; for very high-power applications or where minimal resistance is critical, consider using pure copper conductors. Ensure secure, low-resistance terminations and observe correct polarity to maintain audio quality.
