The InLine USB 2.0 Adapter Cable Type A female header connector (model 33440B) is a 0.4 m beige cable that adapts an internal USB header to an external USB Type A female socket. It is designed to connect internal USB devices with an internal USB connector (for example some front panel modules) to an external USB port while maintaining USB 2.0 compatibility.

Advantages

This adapter cable provides a simple and compact solution for converting a motherboard or device internal USB header to a standard Type A female socket. The 0.4 m length allows flexible placement inside a chassis, and the beige colour fits many system interiors. It supports USB 2.0 data transfer standards and is suitable for reliable connection of compatible internal peripherals.

Suitable for

• Connecting front panel USB modules with internal headers to external USB Type A devices
• Adapting motherboard internal USB headers to an external Type A socket
• Internal PC installations where a short adapter cable is required

How to use

Plug external USB Type A devices into the female socket to establish a connection. No additional drivers are required when used with systems supporting USB 2.0.

Recommendations

When installing, power down the system and ground yourself to avoid electrostatic damage. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable to prevent strain on connectors. Use primarily for USB 2.0 devices; for USB 3.x devices, use a compatible adapter supporting the higher standard.
