Cablu InLine FireWire 400 la 800 1394b 6/9 pini tată 2m

Adapter cable for connecting FireWire IEEE1394a (FireWire 400) devices with a 6-pin connector to a FireWire controller using an IEEE1394b (FireWire 800) 9-pin connector. The InLine FireWire 400 to 800 1394b Cable (6/9 pin male) is 2 m long and has a black jacket. Because FireWire 800 controllers are backward compatible with FireWire 400 devices, this cable enables direct connectivity between older 400 Mbit/s devices and 800 Mbit/s ports.

Advantages

The cable provides compatibility between IEEE1394a and IEEE1394b interfaces without requiring adapters or active converters. Its 2 m length offers flexible device placement, and the male 6-pin to male 9-pin configuration ensures direct plug-and-play connection to standard FireWire 400 devices and FireWire 800 ports. The black outer jacket is designed for general-purpose use and moderate mechanical durability.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting external FireWire 400 hard drives to FireWire 800 controllers
• Linking digital video cameras (FireWire 400) to computers with FireWire 800 ports
• Transferring data between legacy FireWire 400 devices and modern 1394b-equipped systems

Key specifications

• Connector A: 6-pin male (IEEE1394a / FireWire 400)
• Connector B: 9-pin male (IEEE1394b / FireWire 800)
• Length: 2 m
• Data rate compatibility: FireWire 400 devices (400 Mbit/s) to FireWire 800 ports (backward compatible)
• Color: Black
• Brand: InLine, MPN: 36902, EAN: 4043718029631

How to use

Power off both devices before connecting if required by the device manuals. Insert the 6-pin male connector into the FireWire 400 device and the 9-pin male connector into the FireWire 800 port on the computer or controller. Once connected, power on the devices and allow the host system to recognize the peripheral. No driver installation is typically needed for basic mass-storage or video transfer functions if the operating system supports FireWire.

Recommendations

Use the cable for direct device connections where the host port supports IEEE1394b and the peripheral uses IEEE1394a. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference to maintain stable data transfer.
