Adaptor SATA DeLOCK 65156

The DeLOCK SATA Adapter 65156 converts a standard SATA 22-pin male connection to a Slim SATA 13-pin female connection, enabling compatibility between regular SATA devices and slimline SATA interfaces commonly found in slim optical drives and compact storage devices. The adapter has a compact black housing designed to fit in confined spaces while maintaining a direct connection for data transfer between devices with different SATA connector types.

Advantages

This adapter provides a straightforward mechanical connection from SATA 22-pin M to Slim SATA 13-pin FM without requiring drivers or additional power circuitry. Its compact black design saves space and allows easy installation in tight enclosures. The passive adapter preserves signal routing of the SATA interface, enabling interoperability between standard and slimline SATA components for repair, upgrades, or custom assemblies.

Suitable for

• Connecting standard SATA devices to slimline SATA optical drives or slim storage devices
• Upgrading or repairing laptops and compact desktop systems with slim SATA connectors
• Prototyping or building custom enclosures that require SATA to Slim SATA connectivity

Key specifications

• Connector 1: SATA 22-pin male
• Connector 2: Slim SATA 13-pin female
• Function: Adapter for mechanical connection between SATA and Slim SATA
• Colour: Black
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter suitable for tight spaces

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off before connecting. Plug the SATA 22-pin male end of the adapter into the corresponding 22-pin SATA receptacle on the host or cable, and insert the Slim SATA 13-pin female end onto the slimline device's plug. Verify the alignment of pins and apply firm but gentle pressure until the connection is seated. After installation, power on the system and confirm that the connected device is detected by the operating system or firmware.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in environments where connectors are not exposed to excessive strain, bending, or vibration. Keep connections clean and free from debris. If the adapter is used in a confined enclosure, ensure there is adequate airflow and that the adapter does not place mechanical stress on device connectors. This is a passive adapter intended for mechanical connection only; follow device manufacturer instructions for power and data integrity checks.
