Adaptor din fibră optică LC-ST simplex ACT EA1040

The ACT Fiber optic LC-ST simplex adapter EA1040 provides a single-port interface for connecting LC and ST fiber optic connectors. Designed for both multi-mode and single-mode fiber applications, the adapter offers a metallic finish and compact housing to support secure, low-loss connections in patch panels, distribution frames, and wall outlets. Sold individually, the adapter is suitable for environments that require reliable optical coupling and consistent signal integrity for high-speed data transmission.

Advantages

The adapter delivers low insertion loss and stable mating between LC and ST connector types, reducing signal degradation during data transmission. Its metallic construction enhances mechanical durability and electromagnetic shielding while the simplex format conserves space in densely populated racks. Compatibility with multi-mode and single-mode fibers gives installation flexibility across different network segments.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and fiber distribution frames
• Wall-mounted fiber outlets and small enclosures
• Laboratory and testing setups requiring LC–ST connections
• FTTx and LAN backbone segments with mixed connector types

Key specifications

• Connector types: LC (female) to ST (female) simplex coupling
• Fiber compatibility: multi-mode and single-mode
• Housing material: metallic finish for enhanced durability
• Form factor: simplex, single-port adapter
• Typical performance: low insertion loss suitable for high-speed data links
• Mounting: panel or adapter plate installation compatible

How to use

Insert the adapter into the appropriate panel or plate opening and secure it according to the mounting system in use. Align the LC and ST connectors carefully before insertion to avoid bending the fiber or stressing the ferrule. Push the LC connector into the adapter until it latches, and insert the ST connector with the bayonet twist until it seats firmly. Verify optical continuity and acceptable insertion loss with a power meter or optical time-domain reflectometer after installation.

Recommendations

Handle fibers and connectors with care: keep connector end faces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use. Use appropriate cleaning tools before mating connectors to maintain low insertion loss and reliable performance. Avoid excessive mechanical stress on the adapter and connected cables to prolong service life.
