Cablu HDMI Goobay 38523 20 m

The Goobay 38523 HDMI cable (20 m) is a high-speed HDMI Type A to Type A cable designed for transmitting Ultra HD video and high-definition audio over long distances. It supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 50/60 Hz, HDCP 2.2 and features gold-plated contacts for reliable signal transfer. The cable includes support for 3D, Audio Return Channel (ARC) and HDR, and uses an active HDMI design with an integrated amplifier inside the plug to preserve signal integrity over the 20 m length.

Advantages

The active HDMI construction with an integrated amplifier compensates for signal loss across the 20 m length, maintaining stable transmission up to 4K@50/60 Hz and ensuring compatibility with HDCP 2.2 protected content. Gold-plated contact surfaces improve conductivity and corrosion resistance. Support for ARC and HDR allows simplified audio routing and enhanced dynamic range for compatible displays and AV receivers. The cable is direction-bound due to its active design, which ensures correct signal flow when installed properly.

Suitable for

• Connecting 4K TVs and projectors to Blu-ray players, media players or streaming devices over long runs
• Home cinema setups requiring ARC for sending TV audio back to an AV receiver or soundbar
• Setups that require HDR and 3D signal support
• Installations where a 20 m HDMI run is needed (studio, conference rooms, classrooms)

How to use

Identify the correct signal direction for the active cable and connect the plug marked for the source to the HDMI output of your source device (Blu-ray, console, PC) and the other end to the display or AV receiver. Ensure both devices support the target resolution and HDCP version. After connection, select the appropriate HDMI input on the display and configure the source device output to the desired resolution and HDR settings if required.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and tightly coiling the cable. Install the cable with the correct direction orientation and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources (large power supplies, unshielded cables) to minimise interference. Use this cable where an active, direction-specific HDMI solution is acceptable for long 4K runs.
