Trepied Manfrotto MT190XPRO4

The Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 is a super-compact, 4-section aluminium tripod designed for digital and film cameras. It supports up to 7 kg, folds to a reduced closed length thanks to its 4-section legs and a 90° centre column mechanism, and extends from 8 cm to 160 cm while weighing 2.1 kg. Its compact size and sturdy construction make it suitable for travel and versatile shooting setups.

Advantages

The tripod's patented 90° centre column lets you position the column vertically or rotate it to a horizontal orientation without disassembly, enabling low-angle, macro and overhead framing while keeping the camera attached. Four-section legs and Quick Power Lock (QPL) levers reduce the folded length and allow fast, single-handed release and secure locking of each leg section. Independent, ergonomic leg angle selectors offer stable preset angles. A freely rotating bubble level on the top of the centre column helps achieve precise framing, and an Easy Link connector on the top casting accepts accessories such as LED lights, flashes or reflectors.

Suitable for

• Travel and location photography where compactness matters
• Studio and product shoots requiring horizontal or overhead shots
• Macro, low-angle and close-up photography
• Video work with accessories attached via Easy Link

How to use

Extend the legs by opening the Quick Power Lock levers and pulling each section to the desired height, then close the levers to lock. Select the required leg angle with the leg angle selectors to set the tripod stance. To change the centre column orientation, release the column mechanism in the top casting and rotate the column to vertical or horizontal — this can be done with a camera attached. Use the rotating bubble level on the column top to level the camera. Attach accessories such as lights or reflectors to the Easy Link connector on the top casting when needed.

Recommendations

For maximum stability, keep the tripod on a firm surface, spread the legs fully for high loads, and ensure all QPL levers are fully closed before mounting heavy equipment. When using the horizontal column with heavy setups, confirm the mounted head and camera centre of gravity is secure. Store and transport the tripod in a protective bag to avoid scratches and maintain mechanisms.
