Switch neadministrat Trendnet TI-E50

The TRENDnet TI-E50 is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch with five 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports designed for simple network expansion in small offices, home networks, and embedded installations. The compact, wall-mountable metal housing provides a discreet footprint while the device supports full-duplex communication and a MAC address table capable of storing up to 1000 entries. Compliant with IEEE networking standards, this switch offers a total switching capacity of 1 Gbit/s and operates from a wide DC input voltage range for flexible deployment.

Advantages

The TI-E50 delivers straightforward plug-and-play connectivity without configuration, reducing setup time and administrative overhead. Its Fast Ethernet ports provide auto-negotiation for 10/100 Mbps speeds and full-duplex operation for improved throughput when connected devices support it. The included MAC table improves traffic forwarding efficiency, while the durable black enclosure and wall-mountable design simplify physical installation in constrained spaces.

Suitable for

• Small office or home network expansion
• Connecting printers, IP cameras, or additional wired devices
• Temporary network setups and event deployment
• Edge installations where a compact, wall-mountable switch is needed

• Power: DC input voltage range 12–56 V
• Physical: Wall-mountable metal enclosure, black color
• Weight: 0.486 kg

How to use

Install the TRENDnet TI-E50 by mounting it on a wall or placing it on a stable surface near your network devices. Connect each device using standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables to the RJ-45 ports. Provide power via a compatible DC power source within the 12–56 V input range. The switch is unmanaged and requires no configuration: devices will auto-negotiate link speed and duplex settings, and traffic will be forwarded based on the internal MAC address table.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated area away from direct heat sources and moisture. Use Cat5e or better cables for reliable 100 Mbps links. When deploying multiple switches, plan uplink connections to avoid creating loops unless external loop prevention is in place. For PoE-powered devices, verify external power options since this model does not supply power over Ethernet.
