Switch de rețea Trendnet TPE-TG611

The TRENDnet TPE-TG611 6-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch is a compact network switch that delivers data and power over existing Ethernet cabling. It provides four gigabit PoE+ ports, one additional gigabit port, and one SFP slot for fiber connectivity. The switch offers a total PoE power budget of 65W, a switching capacity of 12 Gbps, support for jumbo frames up to 9KB, and a fanless metal housing suitable for desktop or wall-mounted installations.

Advantages

This compact PoE+ switch reduces cabling and installation costs by supplying both power and data on the same Ethernet cables. With four PoE+ ports capable of up to 30W per port (65W total), plus an SFP slot for single-mode or multi-mode fiber modules, it supports mixed deployments of wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and other PoE devices. The fanless design ensures quiet operation while the 12 Gbps switching capacity and jumbo frame support improve edge network performance.

Suitable for

• Small office and retail edge network installations
• Powering and connecting wireless access points and IP cameras
• VoIP phones and IP video encoders
• Short to medium distance fiber uplinks using SFP modules

How to use

Mount the switch on a desktop or wall using the included mounting points. Connect the switch to your network core via the gigabit port or the SFP slot with an appropriate fiber module. Plug PoE-enabled devices into the PoE+ RJ-45 ports; the switch will provide both data and power over the same Ethernet cables. Use standard CAT5e/CAT6 cables for gigabit PoE connections and ensure connected devices do not exceed the 65W total PoE budget.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated, dry environment and use quality Ethernet cables (CAT5e or CAT6) for optimal performance. When deploying multiple PoE devices, calculate the combined power draw to stay within the 65W budget and, for long-distance uplinks, select the appropriate single-mode or multi-mode SFP module based on link distance and fiber type.
