Switch administrabil PLANET IGS-4215-4P4T

The Managed Switch PLANET IGS-4215-4P4T is an industrial-grade, DIN-rail L2/L4 managed Gigabit PoE+ switch designed for deployment in harsh environments. It provides 4 PoE+ 10/100/1000BASE-T ports (up to 30 W per port) plus 4 additional Gigabit copper ports, IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack management, a 16 Gbit/s switching capacity and an 8K MAC address table. Housed in an IP30 metal casing and rated for operation from -40 to 75 °C, the switch offers a total PoE power budget of up to 144 W and supports DC input in the 48–56 V range, making it suitable for industrial surveillance, wireless and VoIP deployments.

Advantages

The IGS-4215-4P4T combines managed L2/L4 features with advanced PoE management to increase uptime and simplify device maintenance. Its hardened IP30 metal housing and wide operating temperature range provide resilience against electromagnetic interference and extreme ambient conditions. Built-in IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack support enables gradual migration to IPv6 without replacing existing network equipment. The switch also includes QoS and traffic-control functions, Layer 2 protocols such as 802.1Q VLAN, MSTP and link aggregation, and secure management interfaces including web, Telnet, SSH, SSL and SNMPv3.

Suitable for

• Industrial surveillance camera deployments
• PoE wireless access point installations
• Small-to-medium enterprise VoIP and video networks
• Traffic control cabinets and outdoor/curb-side equipment racks

How to use

Mount the IGS-4215-4P4T on a DIN-rail or wall as appropriate for your site, provide a compatible 48–56 V DC power source, and connect network devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Use the built-in web interface, Telnet or SNMP management to configure VLANs, QoS policies, PoE settings and security features. For PoE device maintenance, enable PD alive check and scheduled power recycling to automatically reset unresponsive powered devices. Configure PoE schedules to control when ports supply power and review the PoE power usage chart in the web GUI to monitor consumption in real time.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE deployments, verify that the total connected PD power demand does not exceed the 144 W budget and plan port schedules to avoid simultaneous high-power draws. Use the PD alive check and scheduled recycling functions for unattended cameras or APs to reduce manual reboots. Place the switch in a ventilated but secure location and ensure DC input is stable and protected against surges.
