How to use

Install the GSD-1002M on a desktop or in a communication closet near fiber access. Insert appropriate SFP modules (100Base-FX or 1000Base-SX/LX) into the SFP slots to connect fiber links, and connect copper devices to the RJ-45 Gigabit ports. Configure management settings over the IPv4/IPv6 web/CLI interface to set VLANs, QoS policies, ACLs and Spanning Tree parameters. If using PoE, verify PoE power source and cabling; the dual power inputs provide automatic failover if one source fails.

Recommendations

For reliable fiber connections, use compatible SFP modules and verify link speed (100/1000 Mbps) per module specification. Keep firmware updated and configure MSTP and loop protection when deploying in redundant or mesh topologies to ensure predictable recovery and uptime.
