Server video Axis 02037-002 3840 x 2160 pixeli 30 fps

AXIS P7316 is a 16-channel rack-mounted video encoder that enables integration of analog camera systems into IP networks. It supports standard and HD analog cameras up to 4K resolution, provides PTZ control over RS485, two-way audio, and intelligent analytics including motion detection and active tampering alarm. The unit includes an SFP slot for fiber connectivity and network redundancy, and features Zipstream with H.264/H.265 support to reduce bandwidth and storage needs. Built-in cybersecurity measures include signed firmware and secure boot.

Advantages

The encoder adds IP functionality to existing analog installations without replacing cameras, handles up to 16 channels in a single rack-mounted unit, and supports high-resolution analog signals up to 4K. It offers PTZ control over RS485 and two-way audio for interactive monitoring. Zipstream with H.264/H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage usage, while the SFP slot allows long-distance fiber links and improved network redundancy. Security features such as signed firmware and secure boot help protect device integrity.

Key specifications

• Channels: 16 analog video channels
• Supported resolution: up to 4K for analog cameras
• PTZ control: RS485
• Audio: two-way audio support
• Analytics: motion detection, active tampering alarm
• Video compression: H.264 and H.265 with Zipstream
• Network: SFP slot for fiber-optic connection and redundancy
• Mounting: rack-mounted encoder
• Cybersecurity: signed firmware, secure boot

How to use

Install the AXIS P7316 in a standard equipment rack and connect analog camera video outputs to the encoder inputs. Configure PTZ control over RS485 where applicable and connect audio lines for two-way communication. Insert an SFP module for fiber links if long-distance or redundant network paths are required. Configure video streams and compression settings (H.264/H.265 with Zipstream) via the device web interface or compatible VMS, and enable analytics such as motion detection and tamper alarm as needed. Apply and verify firmware updates using signed firmware to maintain device security and enable secure boot.

Recommendations

For reliable long-distance connections and redundancy, use an appropriate SFP module and fiber cabling; keep firmware up to date and enable secure boot to maintain cybersecurity. Verify compatibility of analog camera resolutions and PTZ protocols before deployment.
