Prelungitor de rețea Telegärtner J00060A0069

The Telegärtner VM 8-8 modules (MPN J00060A0069) provide a compact solution for connecting or extending commercially available shielded and unshielded twisted-pair installation cables (Cat. 5e/Cat. 6/Cat. 7). They are designed for repair of damaged cables, extensions and cable rerouting without re-laying cable runs, enabling cost-effective changes in structured wiring systems while maintaining transmission performance.

Advantages

VM 8-8 modules allow permanent connection of multiple cable segments on a common PCB using LSA Plus terminals while preserving transmission characteristics and maximum link lengths. Colour coding follows EIA/TIA 568A and 568B standards, and pairs can be brought directly to the terminals without untwisting. The design supports secure shield contact, variable cable entry, separate strain relief, and a tool-free stainless-steel shielding cover on rack and on-wall versions. An optional ground connection on the PCB (M4 screw) and EMC compatibility according to EN 50081-2 and EN 50082-2 are provided.

Suitable for

• Repairing damaged Cat. 5e/6/7 installation cables
• Extending existing twisted-pair cable runs without re-routing
• Temporary or permanent cable rerouting in structured wiring systems
• Rack-mounted, on-wall and surface-mount installations in commercial or residential networks

Key specifications

• Connection technology: LSA Plus terminals on a common PCB
• Compatible cable types: 4-pair shielded and unshielded cables, AWG 24–22
• Colour coding: EIA/TIA 568A and 568B
• Max connections: up to 12 incoming and 12 outgoing 8-wire cables (depending on module type)
• Shielding: screw-on terminals for secure contact; tool-free stainless-steel cover (selected versions)
• Mounting options: surface mount (AP), on-wall, 19" rack, and basic loose-connection version
• Ground connection: optional M4 screw on PCB
• EMC: compliant with EN 50081-2 and EN 50082-2

How to use

Choose the VM 8-8 module type that matches your mounting preference and number of cable runs. Route the incoming and outgoing 4-pair cables to the module, insert each pair directly to the LSA Plus terminal following the EIA/TIA 568A or 568B colour code, and terminate without untwisting the pairs. For shielded cables, fix the shield to the PCB using the screw-on terminals and, if required, secure the ground with the M4 screw. Apply separate strain relief with commercially available cable ties and, where applicable, attach the stainless-steel shielding cover without tools.

Recommendations

For best results, verify your chosen colour code (568A or 568B) before installation to ensure consistent wiring across the link. Limit untwisting of pairs to the minimum required for termination to maintain transmission performance, and follow local grounding and EMC practices when connecting shielded cables.
