Placă PCI FireWire EXSYS EX-6450 2+1 porturi

The Exsys FireWire PCI Card EXSYS EX-6450 2+1 Port provides wired IEEE 1394 connectivity for systems with a 32-bit PCI slot. Equipped with a Texas TSB43AB22A chipset, the card supports transfer rates up to 400 Mbit/s and adds two external and one internal FireWire ports to desktop computers. The compact expansion card measures approximately 120 mm by 40 mm and is designed for straightforward installation in standard PCI slots to expand legacy digital video, audio, and peripheral connections.

Advantages

This PCI FireWire card delivers reliable data transfers at 400 Mbit/s thanks to the integrated Texas chipset, ensuring stable communication with compatible devices. The 2+1 port configuration (two external, one internal) offers flexibility for connecting external camcorders, audio interfaces, or internal drive bays. The low-profile footprint and standard PCI form factor make it compatible with many desktop systems while keeping installation simple and unobtrusive.

Suitable for

• Adding FireWire ports to older desktop PCs that lack native IEEE 1394 support
• Connecting DV camcorders or legacy video equipment for capture and editing
• Attaching audio interfaces, external hard drives, or other FireWire peripherals
• Internal wiring to drive bays or chassis-mounted ports using the internal FireWire connector

Open the desktop case, locate an available 32-bit PCI slot, and insert the card firmly into the slot until it is seated. Secure the card bracket to the case with the mounting screw. Reconnect power and boot the system; install any required drivers provided by the operating system or the card supplier. Connect external FireWire devices to the external ports, or use the internal port to route a cable to an internal drive bay or chassis-mounted connector. Verify device recognition in the operating system and perform any device-specific configuration as needed.

Recommendations

For stable operation, use shielded FireWire cables and connect devices in accordance with the device manufacturers' guidelines. Ensure the host system provides a functional 32-bit PCI slot and check driver availability for your operating system version to guarantee compatibility.
