Placă de bază BIOSTAR A620MT-E 2.0 — microATX socket A620 chipset

BIOSTAR A620MT-E 2.0 is a microATX motherboard designed for desktop systems that use the A620 chipset and AM5-compatible processors. It offers a compact platform with standard connectivity and expansion options for building or upgrading home and office PCs. The board supports modern DDR5 memory modules, multiple storage interfaces and basic add-in card slots while maintaining a small form factor suitable for microATX cases.

Advantages

The motherboard combines a compact microATX layout with essential connectivity, allowing efficient use of space without sacrificing core expansion. Support for AM5 processors provides compatibility with current CPU families on the A620 chipset, while DDR5 memory support increases overall system responsiveness compared with previous memory generations. Integrated audio and network interfaces plus multiple storage options deliver a balanced set of features for typical desktop tasks.

Suitable for

• Home desktop PCs for everyday computing and media playback
• Office workstations focused on productivity applications
• Compact builds where a microATX board is required
• Upgradable systems that need AM5 CPU and DDR5 memory support

Key specifications

• Form factor: microATX
• Chipset: A620-class chipset for AM5 platform
• CPU socket: AM5-compatible socket for supported processors
• Memory support: DDR5 DIMM slots (dual-channel capable)
• Expansion slots: PCIe slot(s) for graphics or add-in cards (platform dependent)
• Storage interfaces: SATA ports and at least one M.2 slot for NVMe/SATA drives
• Integrated interfaces: onboard audio and Ethernet network port
• Rear I/O: standard set of USB ports, display outputs (when CPU/APU supports), and legacy connectors as per microATX layout

How to use

Install the motherboard inside a compatible microATX case on the standoffs provided, align the rear I/O shield, and secure with screws. Install an AM5-compatible processor following the socket instructions, apply thermal interface material and mount a compatible CPU cooler. Insert DDR5 memory modules into the DIMM slots according to the motherboard manual to enable dual-channel operation. Connect storage devices to the SATA ports or M.2 socket and install a discrete graphics card into the PCIe slot if required. Connect front-panel, USB and power cables from the case to the motherboard headers, then verify connections before the first boot and configure BIOS/UEFI settings as needed for storage and memory profiles.

Recommendations

Use memory modules listed in the motherboard QVL or compatible DDR5 kits for reliable operation, ensure BIOS/UEFI is updated to the latest vendor release for CPU compatibility, and install a cooling solution appropriate for the chosen AM5 processor TDP. For storage performance, install the operating system on an NVMe SSD when available and configure SATA devices in the BIOS according to the drive types.
