Fiting Alphacool 17072

The Alphacool 17072 fitting is a brass connector with a durable black surface finish designed for custom water-cooling systems. It features a large inner diameter for high flow and a revolvable 45° angled body that simplifies hose routing. The finish uses an improved chromatising process that bonds the surface to the brass to maintain intense colour without peeling; some fittings carry the Alphacool name in blue lettering. Compatible with soft tubing such as PVC, silicone and neoprene, this connector provides a secure G1/4" threaded connection for 13/10 mm tubing.

Advantages

The fitting combines a high-flow inner diameter with a durable bonded surface finish that resists peeling. Its revolvable 45° design facilitates flexible hose routing and installation. Constructed from brass, it offers reliable mechanical strength and long-term compatibility with common soft tubing materials.

Suitable for

• Custom PC water-cooling loops using 13/10 mm soft tubing
• Systems requiring a compact 45° angled connection for space-constrained routing
• Builds where a durable, non-peeling black finish is preferred

How to use

Mount the fitting into any G1/4" threaded port on your water-cooling component and tighten securely by hand or with an appropriate tool, taking care not to overtighten. Push the 13/10 mm soft tubing onto the barb until it seats fully; use a clamp or hose clip if additional retention is required. Rotate the fitting to the desired orientation to achieve the optimal hose routing before final tightening.

Recommendations

Before assembly, inspect tubing and fitting for damage and ensure tubing inner diameter matches 10 mm over the barb for a tight fit. When combining with other Alphacool components, verify thread compatibility and avoid excessive force during tightening to protect threads and surface finish.
