Controller Plejd DAL-01 DALI Broadcast 128mA DT8 Bluetooth Mesh

Electricians and smart home integrators often face the challenge of bringing DALI luminaires into a wireless lighting control system without complex wiring or additional gateways. The Plejd DAL-01 DALI Broadcast Controller solves this by bridging the DALI bus to the Plejd Bluetooth mesh network, enabling direct control of DALI drivers and ballasts from the Plejd app or other Plejd devices. Mounted in a junction box or apparatus box, it delivers a 128 mA DALI broadcast signal, supporting up to 64 standard DALI devices, and handles both DT6 dimming and DT8 tunable white or RGBW colour control.

Key specifications

• DALI broadcast output: 128 mA, supports up to 64 DALI devices (at 2 mA each)
• DALI device type support: DT6 (dimming) and DT8 (tunable white, RGBW)
• Wireless connectivity: Plejd Mesh (Bluetooth) for seamless integration with Plejd smart lighting system
• Input voltage: 230 V AC, 50 Hz; standby power consumption under 0.5 W
• Operating temperature: -20 °C to +45 °C; protection class IP20
• Installation: junction box, apparatus box, or DIN rail with adapter
• Housing material: plastic; certifications: CE

Why choose it

The DAL-01 eliminates the need for a separate DALI gateway or complex commissioning. Its broadcast mode means you can control all connected DALI luminaires simultaneously without addressing each device, making it ideal for zones where uniform lighting changes are desired. The Plejd mesh ensures reliable wireless communication even in challenging building structures, and the compact design fits standard European junction boxes, preserving a clean installation.

Ideal use cases

• Retrofit projects where existing DALI luminaires need to be integrated into a Plejd smart lighting system
• Commercial spaces such as offices, meeting rooms, and retail areas requiring tunable white or RGBW lighting scenes
• Residential applications where a single DALI broadcast zone covers a room or area
• Installations where wired DALI control is impractical and wireless mesh is preferred

Good to know

The DAL-01 is a DALI controller, not a power supply for the DALI bus; the DALI bus power must be provided separately according to DALI standards. It is designed for indoor use only (IP20). For DIN rail mounting, an accessory adapter is required. The controller is compatible with the Plejd app and can be combined with other Plejd devices such as dimmers, sensors, and gateways to create a complete smart lighting ecosystem.
