Conector RJ-45 ShiverPeaks BS08-45004

The ShiverPeaks BS08-45004 is a metallic RJ-45 male wire connector engineered for reliable network terminations and dependable data transmission. Designed for use in standard Ethernet cabling, the connector features a metal housing that provides mechanical durability and shielding benefits compared to non-metallic alternatives. Supplied as a single unit per pack, this RJ-45 connector is intended for replacement, upgrade, or custom-termination tasks where a robust metallic finish is required.

Advantages

The metallic construction offers enhanced mechanical strength and improved electromagnetic shielding to reduce interference in network environments. Its male RJ-45 format ensures compatibility with standard female ports and patch panels, while the compact single-pack format makes it convenient to carry a spare for on-site repairs. The connector’s build supports secure mating and stable signal continuity for typical Ethernet applications.

Suitable for

• Repairing or replacing damaged RJ-45 terminations on patch cables
• Custom crimping and cable assembly for Ethernet installations
• Use in shielded or high-interference environments requiring metal-housed connectors
• Temporary or permanent connections to routers, switches, and patch panels

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 male
• Housing material: metallic finish (metal housing)
• Pack quantity: 1 connector per pack
• Intended use: Ethernet/network cable termination
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet interfaces

How to use

Strip the cable jacket to the appropriate length, arrange the individual conductors according to the required wiring standard (T568A or T568B), and insert them into the connector until fully seated. Use a compatible crimping tool designed for RJ-45 connectors to secure the contact pins onto the conductors and to lock the connector housing. Verify continuity and correct pinout with a network cable tester before placing the cable into service.

Recommendations

For best results, use with shielded twisted-pair (STP) cabling when exploiting the metallic housing’s shielding properties. Select a crimp tool rated for metal RJ-45 connectors and test each terminated cable to confirm electrical continuity and correct pairing. Store unused connectors in a dry environment to avoid corrosion and inspect mating ports for damage before installation.
