Conector RJ-45 Gembird PLUG5SP/100

The Gembird PLUG5SP/100 is a transparent RJ-45 wire connector designed for terminating SF/UTP network cables. Supplied in a pack of 100, these connectors provide a standard 8P8C interface for Ethernet cabling and are intended for use where shielded foiled twisted pair (SF/UTP) performance is required. The compact package dimensions (100mm x 140mm x 50mm) make storage and transport straightforward for technicians and installers.

Advantages

These RJ-45 connectors are transparent to allow visual verification of conductor alignment and correct insertion. They are compatible with SF/UTP cable constructions, supporting the cable shielding continuity necessary for reduced interference in network installations. The bulk pack of 100 pieces offers convenience for larger projects or maintenance stocks.

Suitable for

• Termination of SF/UTP Ethernet cables
• Local area network installations and repairs
• On-site cabling for offices, server rooms, and residential networks
• Network maintenance and spare parts for installers

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 (8P8C)
• Cable compatibility: SF/UTP (shielded foiled twisted pair)
• Colour: Transparent
• Pack quantity: 100 pieces
• Package dimensions: 100mm x 140mm x 50mm

How to use

Strip the outer jacket and prepare the individual conductors of the SF/UTP cable according to the chosen wiring standard (e.g., T568A or T568B). Ensure the foil and drain wire are positioned or folded as required to maintain shielding continuity. Insert the conductors straight into the RJ-45 connector until they reach the end of the contacts, then crimp using a compatible RJ-45 crimping tool to secure the contacts and release the shield as designed. Verify the wiring order visually through the transparent body before crimping and test the terminated cable with an appropriate network tester after assembly.

Recommendations

Use a crimping tool compatible with RJ-45 connectors and follow recommended practices for handling SF/UTP shielding to preserve performance. Inspect each termination visually through the transparent connector to confirm proper conductor seating and shielding arrangement before testing the cable.
