Conector RJ-45 EFB Elektronik 37640.1-100

The EFB Elektronik 37640.1-100 wire connector is an RJ-45 plug specifically intended for Cat6 network cabling. Finished in silver, this connector supports standard eight-conductor Cat6 cables and is supplied in a pack of 100 units for multiple-point installations. It is built to provide consistent electrical contact and a compact, tool-compatible form factor for terminating cable ends in structured cabling systems.

Advantages

This RJ-45 connector offers reliable physical and electrical contact for Cat6 cables, helping to maintain signal integrity across Ethernet links. The silver finish provides corrosion resistance and a uniform appearance in patch panels and cabling runs. Supplied in a bulk quantity of 100 pieces, the pack reduces the need for frequent reordering when performing multiple terminations. The product’s design is compatible with standard termination tools and common installation procedures for modular RJ-45 plugs.

Suitable for

• Terminating Cat6 stranded or solid network cables
• Wiring patch cables for switches, routers and network devices
• Bulk installations in data closets, offices and server rooms
• Replacement of worn or damaged RJ-45 plugs on existing cables

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 modular plug
• Cable category compatibility: Cat6
• Contact finish: silver-coloured (corrosion-resistant appearance)
• Pack quantity: 100 pieces
• Application: Ethernet network terminations and patch cable assembly

How to use

Strip the outer jacket of the Cat6 cable to expose the four twisted pairs, untwist pairs to the required length and arrange conductors according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Insert the conductors fully into the RJ-45 connector so each wire reaches its contact channel, then use an appropriate crimping tool to press and secure the contacts onto the conductors and strain-relief. Verify that the plug is firmly attached and test the terminated cable with a network tester to confirm correct continuity and pairing.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use a compatible RJ-45 crimping tool and test each cable after termination. Avoid over-stripping or excessive untwisting of pairs to maintain Cat6 performance. Store unused connectors in a dry environment to prevent contamination of contacts.
