Cititor de coduri de bare portabil Manhattan Long Range CCD

The Manhattan Long Range CCD Handheld Barcode Scanner provides reliable 1D barcode capture for point-of-sale, office and light industrial tasks. The CCD scan engine has no moving parts and reads popular linear codes — including UPC, EAN, Code 39, Code 128, MSI/Plessey and GS1 DataBar — with a maximum read rate of 500 scans per second and an effective working distance up to 500 mm (20 in). The scanner connects via a switchable USB or PS/2 wired interface, is powered over USB, and is built from durable ABS and rubber materials for everyday use.

Advantages

This handheld barcode scanner delivers consistent read performance in low ambient light and up to 10,000 lux environments, reduces manual data entry by sending decoded data directly to the active application via a built-in keyboard-wedge decoder, and integrates easily with most PCs without the need for an external power supply. Its solid-state CCD sensor ensures long service life while the 1.5 m cable and lightweight 440 g housing support comfortable, continuous operation. FCC and CE certifications and a three-year warranty provide compliance and manufacturer backing.

Suitable for

• Retail point-of-sale transactions

How to use

Connect the scanner to a PC using the included switchable USB or PS/2 cable and ensure the active application (text field or POS input) is selected. Aim the scanner at the barcode within the working distance and pull the trigger; the decoded data will be entered into the active application as if typed from a keyboard. No external power adapter is required when using USB. For initial setup, consult the manufacturer’s configuration guide to change interface settings or enable special prefix/suffix options via programming barcodes.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the scanner window clean and scan barcodes within the specified working distance (up to 500 mm). Use the USB interface for both power and data when connecting to modern PCs, and verify compatibility with your POS or inventory software. Avoid scanning damaged or poorly printed barcodes; reposition the item or reduce ambient glare to improve read accuracy.
