HP N00111-001 720p HD USB is a compact webcam that provides 720p high-definition video for video calls, online meetings and basic streaming. The device connects via a USB cable for plug-and-play operation on Windows and macOS systems. Designed for straightforward mounting on monitors or laptop screens, the webcam improves image quality compared with many built-in cameras and is suitable for home offices, remote learning and everyday video communication.

Advantages

The webcam delivers 720p resolution to produce clear, natural-looking video while keeping bandwidth requirements moderate. Its USB connection enables simple setup without additional drivers on most systems, and the camera body offers basic mounting options for stable positioning on monitors and laptop lids. The compact form factor and neutral design make it unobtrusive in both work and home environments.

Suitable for

• Video conferencing and online meetings
• Remote work and telecommuting
• Home office and distance learning
• Casual livestreaming and social video calls

• Interface: USB (plug-and-play)
• Mounting: monitor and laptop screen clip
• Focus: fixed focus optics for general-purpose use

How to use

Connect the webcam to an available USB port on your computer and allow the operating system to install any required drivers automatically. Position the camera on the top edge of your monitor or laptop screen and adjust the angle for an even framing of your face. Select the HP webcam as the video input device in your conferencing or streaming application settings. For best results, ensure adequate front lighting and close unnecessary background applications to preserve system resources.

Recommendations

Use the webcam in a well-lit environment with soft, diffused light facing the subject to reduce shadows and improve image clarity. If privacy is a concern, cover the lens when the camera is not in use. For stable performance during longer sessions, connect the webcam directly to a powered USB port on the host device rather than through an unpowered hub.
