Cablu optic Ubiquiti UACC-AOC-SFP28-5M

The Ubiquiti UACC-AOC-SFP28-5M is a 5-meter ultra-thin active optical cable with SFP28 transceivers on both ends. It supports 25 Gbps throughput and is intended for short to medium-distance connections between network switches or server racks. The cable combines flexibility and durability with an aqua-colored jacket for easy identification in data center environments.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers 25 Gbps bandwidth over a compact SFP28 form factor, reducing rack space and improving airflow compared with bulkier copper solutions. The active optics design enables reliable high-speed links over several meters while maintaining low power consumption and signal integrity. Its flexible construction simplifies routing in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Short- and medium-distance links between network switches
• Connections between server racks in data centers
• High-bandwidth uplinks and aggregation ports
• Environments requiring low-profile, high-speed cabling

Key specifications

• Brand: UBIQUITI
• Model / MPN: UACC-AOC-SFP28-5M
• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Data rate: 25 Gbps
• Length: 5 m
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on networking equipment or switches until the latch engages. Route the cable through rack channels or cable management trays, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension. No transceivers or additional modules are required beyond SFP28-capable ports; check compatibility with your switch vendor for supported AOC modules.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, keep the cable free from kinks, and avoid exposure to excessive heat. Verify switch firmware and port compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules before deployment.
