Cablu de rețea shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 5m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable 5m delivers a shielded wired connection designed for high-speed data transmission in home and office environments. Equipped with U/FTP (STP) shielding and factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the grey cable supports reliable signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference for demanding tasks such as gaming, streaming and large file transfers.

Advantages

The U/FTP (STP) shielding arrangement provides improved protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic noise compared with unshielded cables, helping maintain consistent throughput. Cat7 specification supports higher bandwidth and frequency ranges suitable for Gigabit and multi-Gigabit network segments. A 5 meter length offers flexibility for typical desk-to-switch or router-to-device connections while keeping cable routing neat and manageable.

Suitable for

• Wired connections for desktop PCs, gaming consoles and smart TVs
• High-definition streaming and low-latency online gaming
• Office workstations and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
• Temporary or permanent network runs within apartments or small offices

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 m
• Color: Grey
• Conductor material: Copper (solid or stranded depending on manufacturing batch)
• Maximum supported speeds: Gigabit and multi-Gigabit networks (dependent on network equipment)
• Frequency range: Supports higher frequency bands typical for Cat7 cabling

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your router, switch or modem and the other RJ-45 connector to your computer, console or networked device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the locking tab clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; leave a small service loop to reduce strain at connection points. For structured cabling installations, verify compatibility with patch panels and keystone jacks designed for shielded Cat7 cables.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair the cable with shielded network equipment or properly grounded patch panels to preserve the benefits of U/FTP shielding. Avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii recommended by networking standards. Regularly inspect connectors for debris and ensure firm seating to prevent intermittent connections.
