Cablu convertor USB-A la serial Manhattan 205153

The Manhattan USB-A to Serial Converter Cable (45 cm) provides a USB-A to RS232 (DB9) connection using a Prolific PL-2303RA chipset. Designed to connect serial devices to modern computers and laptops that lack native COM/RS232 ports, this male-to-male cable supports stable data transfer with gold-plated contacts and rugged construction. The cable is lightweight (30 g), RoHS/CE/FCC/WEEE compliant and includes a three-year warranty.

Advantages

The cable converts a single USB port into a standard RS232 (DB9) serial interface for legacy and specialized peripherals. Gold-plated contacts and durable build improve connection reliability and resist corrosion. The integrated Prolific PL-2303RA chipset provides wide driver support and plug-and-play operation on supported Windows systems, while the 45 cm length balances portability and convenience.

Connect the USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer and attach the DB9 connector to the serial device. The cable supports hot-plugging on compatible systems; once connected and recognized, configure the COM port settings (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) in your device application or operating system as required.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use with the manufacturer-recommended drivers and verify device COM settings match the connected peripheral. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources to reduce interference.
