Cablu coaxial ShiverPeaks BS81800-3 100 m

The ShiverPeaks BS81800-3 coaxial cable is a 100 m length of 75 Ω cable designed for reliable audio and video signal transmission. Constructed with high-quality copper conductors and a concentric shielding arrangement, the cable provides consistent impedance and low signal loss over long runs. Its robust outer jacket and precise manufacturing make it suitable for fixed installations in homes, studios, and commercial AV systems where stable RF and baseband signal integrity is required.

Advantages

This coaxial cable offers low attenuation and consistent 75 Ω impedance for predictable performance with tuners, set-top boxes, CCTV cameras, satellite receivers, and RF distribution systems. The copper conductor ensures good conductivity while the shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The 100 m length provides coverage for longer runs without the need to join multiple shorter cables, and the durable outer sheath protects the cable in typical indoor and semi-protected installation environments.

Suitable for

• TV antenna and terrestrial broadcast connections
• Satellite receiver links and LNB connections
• CCTV camera and video surveillance installations
• Distribution of RF signals in home and commercial AV systems
• Connecting set-top boxes, tuners and video modulators

Key specifications

• Length: 100 m
• Characteristic impedance: 75 Ω
• Conductor material: copper
• Shielding: concentric/foil and braid combination for EMI protection
• Outer jacket: durable protective sheath suitable for indoor use
• Intended signals: RF, analog and digital video, baseband

How to use

Strip the cable ends carefully to expose the centre conductor and the shielding according to the connector manufacturer's instructions. Fit suitable 75 Ω connectors (F-type, BNC or RCA depending on equipment) ensuring the centre conductor and outer shield make proper contact. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and tight kinks; maintain bend radius recommended for coax to prevent impedance changes. For long runs, verify connections at both ends and test signal levels with appropriate measurement tools before finalising the installation.

Recommendations

For best signal quality, avoid running the coaxial cable in parallel with power lines and keep distance from strong EMI sources. Use weatherproof connectors and conduit for any outdoor sections, and replace damaged sections rather than relying on multiple splices. When connecting to sensitive RF equipment, confirm connector type and impedance matching to reduce reflections and loss.
