Adaptor de gen cablu ShiverPeaks BS75005-MS

The ShiverPeaks BS75005-MS metallic RJ-45 cable gender changer is a compact inline adapter designed to connect two RJ-45 terminated cables directly. Built with a metal housing and gold-plated contacts, it provides a reliable mechanical connection and corrosion-resistant signal paths for Ethernet and other network cabling where a gender change is required.

Advantages

The metal construction offers enhanced durability and EMI shielding compared with plastic alternatives. Gold-plated contacts reduce contact resistance and help maintain consistent signal quality over repeated insertions. Its compact inline form factor allows it to be used without introducing significant strain or bulk into cable runs.

Suitable for

• Extending or joining two RJ-45 patch cables where a male-to-male or female-to-female change is needed
• Temporary network repairs and field setups
• Home, office, server rack, and AV installations requiring straightforward cable gender adaptation

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45 gender changer (inline adapter)
• Housing material: metal for improved durability and shielding
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance and low contact resistance
• Form factor: compact inline adapter suitable for tight spaces
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cables and connectors

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 cable connector into one side of the adapter and the second RJ-45 connector into the opposite side until each clicks into place. Ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain proper contact. The adapter does not require tools or additional configuration; it functions as a passive inline connection between two RJ-45 terminated cables.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the gender changer with cables that are in good condition and maintain proper bend radius near the adapter. Avoid placing excessive mechanical stress or frequent heavy movement on the joint. When used in sensitive network environments, position the adapter so it benefits from the metal housing's shielding and avoid exposure to moisture or corrosive conditions.
