Adaptor coaxial IEC ShiverPeaks BS85323

The ShiverPeaks BS85323 coaxial connector combines an IEC connector on one end with an F-type connector on the other, providing a compact adapter for audio, TV and satellite signal connections. Supplied as a single-piece pack, the stainless steel finish offers corrosion resistance and a standard form factor that fits typical coaxial cable installations. The adapter is suitable for connecting televisions, set-top boxes, satellite receivers and other equipment that use IEC or F-type coaxial terminations.

Advantages

The BS85323 delivers a straightforward mechanical transition between IEC and F-type ports without requiring cable re-termination or tools. Its stainless steel housing provides physical durability and improved resistance to wear and environmental effects. The one-piece design simplifies installation and reduces potential points of signal loss by maintaining secure mating between devices with different connector standards.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV to a wall outlet with a different connector type
• Adapting set-top boxes or digital receivers to coaxial antenna leads
• Linking satellite equipment to devices that accept IEC connections
• Temporary or permanent connections in home and office AV installations

Key specifications

• Connector A: IEC male/female interface as required by device
• Connector B: F-type threaded interface
• Material/finish: stainless steel exterior
• Pack quantity: 1 piece
• Compatibility: standard 75 Ω coaxial systems for TV and satellite signals

How to use

Attach the F-type threaded end to the corresponding F connector by screwing it on until hand-tight; ensure the centre conductor aligns correctly and the connection is firm. Insert or mate the IEC end with the matching IEC socket on the device, confirming a snug fit. No special tools are required for normal installation; tighten handwise and avoid excessive force to prevent damage to connector threads or device ports.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, indoor environments or in suitably protected outdoor enclosures. For optimal signal quality, avoid adding multiple adapters in series and keep cable lengths and connector transitions to a minimum. If interference or signal loss is observed, check connections for cleanliness and correct seating before replacing cables or equipment.
