Adaptor cablu ShiverPeaks BS78395

The ShiverPeaks BS78395 Cable Gender Changer is a compact adapter that converts between a Mini DIN 6-pin connector and a DIN 5-pin connector. Designed for straightforward cable adaptation where connector types differ, this gender changer provides reliable signal continuity in a small, easy-to-install form factor. Nickel-plated contacts improve wear resistance and reduce the risk of corrosion, while the grey housing offers a neutral appearance that blends into professional or home installations.

Advantages

The nickel-plated contacts increase durability and maintain good electrical conductivity over repeated connections. The compact design minimizes space requirements and simplifies cable routing in confined setups. The adapter supports straightforward conversion between Mini DIN 6-pin and DIN 5-pin interfaces without requiring tools or permanent changes to existing cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting devices with Mini DIN 6-pin to equipment using DIN 5-pin connectors
• Temporary or permanent cable adaptation in AV and legacy computer setups
• Laboratory benches, test rigs, and repair work where quick connector conversion is needed
• Home audio/video systems and hobby electronics requiring mixed connector types

Key specifications

• Connector types: Mini DIN 6-pin (one side) and DIN 5-pin (other side)
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts for improved wear and corrosion resistance
• Housing color: grey
• Form factor: inline gender changer adapter, compact size for tight spaces

How to use

Identify the Mini DIN 6-pin and DIN 5-pin connectors on the adapter and align each connector with the corresponding cable or device port. Gently insert the connector until it seats fully; avoid forcing the plug to prevent bent pins. To remove, grasp the adapter housing and pull straight out. No tools or cable modifications are required—simply plug the adapter between the existing cables or between a cable and a device.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep connectors clean and free from dust; if necessary, use a soft brush or compressed air to remove debris. Avoid exposing the adapter to excessive mechanical stress or moisture. Verify compatibility of signal types before use, as this adapter changes connector gender and pin arrangement but does not convert electrical signal standards.
