How to use

Position the Thronmax Mdrill One Slate Gray microphone on a stable desk stand or mount it on a compatible arm so that the capsule faces the speaker at an angle of approximately 0–30 degrees. Connect the microphone to a computer via USB and select it as the input device in your operating system or recording software. Adjust input gain in your software if available to avoid clipping—aim for peaks well below the maximum input level for a clean recording. Maintain a consistent distance from the microphone to stabilize volume and tonal balance.

Recommendations

For best results, record in a quiet, lightly treated room and use the cardioid pattern to reduce unwanted noise from the rear and sides. Use pop filters or foam windscreens to minimize plosive sounds when recording close-up speech. Regularly monitor levels while recording and perform test takes to set optimal gain and microphone placement for the intended application.
