Convertor semnal video Kramer Electronics TP-580T

The Kramer Electronics TP-580T is a high-performance HDBaseT twisted-pair transmitter that converts HDMI, bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals into a single HDBaseT output for transmission to a compatible TP-580R receiver. The unit supports up to 10.2 Gbps total data rate, HDTV formats, HDCP and 3D pass-through, and is compact enough for DigiTOOLS mounting or standalone use.

Advantages

The TP-580T provides long-distance HDMI transmission over a single category cable using HDBaseT technology, preserving HDMI features such as deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, uncompressed audio channels, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and CEC. It supports bidirectional RS-232 and IR for remote control and status communications, includes EDID pass-through to maintain proper display negotiation, and offers status LEDs for input, output, link and power. Its compact DigiTOOLS form factor allows three units to be mounted side-by-side in 1U with the RK-3T adapter.

Suitable for

• AV installations requiring long-distance HDMI transmission to a remote receiver
• Conference rooms and lecture halls where remote control via RS-232 or IR is needed
• Residential or commercial setups that require HDCP-compliant signal extension and EDID management
• Integrations where compact, rackable transmitters are preferred

How to use

Connect the HDMI source, RS-232 and IR control lines to the corresponding TP-580T inputs. Use a single HDBaseT category cable from the TP-580T HDBaseT output to the TP-580R receiver at the display location. Apply 12 V power to the unit and confirm the status LEDs indicate proper input, link and power. Configure EDID settings if required by the source or display to ensure the correct resolution and audio format. Use the bidirectional RS-232 or IR path to send control commands or query status from the remote device.

Recommendations

For reliable long-distance performance, use high-quality shielded CAT6a cable such as Kramer BC-HDKat6a and verify cable runs and connected devices support the intended resolution. Note that maximum range depends on resolution, cable quality and the specific source/display; non‑Kramer CAT6 cable may reduce achievable distance.
